SUBMISSIONS ARE NOW OPEN FOR BABY TEETH BLOG. CLICK HERE FOR MORE INFORMATION.

BABY TEETH MAG is looking for the words you’re too scared to say in front of the class. We want to be startled. We want that dream you had when you were eight – the one that still keeps you up. We want the weird stuff. The experiments. The pieces you’re proud of, but won’t show your mother. Send them to us.

We currently accept submissions of poetry, prose, visual art and photography.

We are now accepting submissions for our September/October issue, SUPERNATURAL. We want ghost stories. Alien encounters. Regional gothic. Poems about the abandoned house down the street and drawings of that nightmare you keep having. We want Lovecraftian horror and tales from the crypt (or your childhood basement). Submit your best poetry, prose, visual art and photography. Submissions for SUPERNATURAL close August 1.

Submission Guidelines

  • Please send up to five (5) pieces in one document to babyteethmag@gmail.com. Please do not put your submissions in the body of your email.
  • Make the subject of your email your name and the content of your submission. Example: Kanye West, 3 poems
  • Please send all poetry and prose submissions in Times New Roman, size 12. Single-space for poetry, double-space for prose.
  • Please include a cover letter with your submission. Your cover letter should include the titles of your work and a brief bio.
  • We do not accept previously published work. Please do not submit pieces that have been published anywhere other than a personal website or blog.
  • Contributors retain the rights to their work.
  • Simultaneous submissions are encouraged, but please notify us as soon as possible if your piece is accepted elsewhere.
  • Please title your work.

We hope to get back to you within two weeks. However, if a month has passed, feel free to inquire about your work by email. Please do not resubmit pieces we have already passed on, and do not submit new pieces until we have gotten back to you about your previous submission.

Unfortunately we cannot pay our contributors at this time.
